1,2.Rama   seeing   the   heroic   Lakshmana   soaked   in   a   stream   of   blood   struck   in   the   battle   with   a   javelin   by   the   exceedingly   mighty   Ravana,   giving   a   fierce   battle   to   Ravana   discharging   streams   of   arrows   and   even   while   doing   so   spoke   the   following   words   to   Sushena.

3.Rama   told   Sushena   that   the   heroic   Lakshmana   has   fallen   on   the   ground   by   the   prowess   of   Ravana   and   is   increasing   his   grief   by   writhting   like   a   serpent.

5.Rama   told   Sushena   that   his   brother   Lakshmana   with   auspicious   bodily   marks   speaks   highly   of   battle   and   if   he   dies   then   Rama   says   there   is   no   use   with   his   life   or   happiness.
