That   great   sage   Viswamitra   was   then   overvome   with   anger; holding   aloft   the   ladle   used   for   pouring   oblations   into the   sacrificial   fire   in   his   hand,   he   spoke   thus   to   Trisanku in   an   angry   tone   (12).

I   have   acquired   on   my   own.   Through   my   own   ability   I   shall lead   you   to   heaven,   in   this   very   body   of   yours   (13).

The   punisher   of   demon   Paka   (Indra),   noticing   Trisanku   having
landed   in   the   world   of   gods,   spoke   to   him   the   following   words,
in   the   company   of   all   the   groups   of   gods   (17).

Being   commanded   thus   by   the   chief   of   the   gods,   Trisanku   hurtled
down   on   to   the   earth,   shouting   aloud,   `protect   me',   calling out   to   Viswamitra,   whose   wealth   comprised   his   penance   (19).

appeal   of   his,   became   greatly   enraged   and   shouted   back:   `Stay
there,   stay   there'   (20).
