Overcome   with   compassion,   the   son   of   Kusika   spoke   the   folowing
sweet   words   to   the   king,who   had   been   rendered   a   Chandala   in
form   due   to   the   curse,   when   he   had   pleaded   his   case   thus   (1).

`O!   Scion   of   Ikshvaku   race!   Welcome   be   to   you!   O!   Dear!   I   know you   to   be   an   extremely   righteous   person.   I   shall   be   your   refuge. O!   Chief   of   men!   May   you   not   be   agitated   (2).

O!   King!   I   shall   summon   all   the   sages   who   are   holy   and   who
would   assist   in   the   performance   of   the   sacrifice.   Thereafter,   you
will   be   able   to   conduct   the   sacrifice   without   any   anxiety   (3).

You   will   depart   (for   the   celestial   regions)   along   with   this very   physical   body   of   yours,   with   these   very   looks   (of   a Chandala)   brought   about   through   the   curse   of   your   preceptor   (4).

O!   Master   of   men!   I   consider   that   your   attainment   of   heaven is   already   in   hand,   since   you   have   sought   refuge   in   the   son   of
Kusika,   the   fit   one   to   seek   refuge'   (5).

Having   said   all   this,   that   one   of   great   radiance,   instructed his   sons,   who   were   extremely   righteous   and   of   wide   intellect in   the   matter   of   arranging   for   the   sacrifice.   After   collecting all   his   disciples,   he   also   spoke   the   following.   What   a   wonder!   (6).

Upon   my   words,   may   you   fetch   all   the   groups   of   sages,   O!   Children! along   with   their   retinue,   disciples   and   friends,   priests   and   those who   are   well-read   (in   the   matter   of   the   conduct   of   sacrifice)
and   are   scholarly   (7).

Having   been   invited   on   the   strength   of   my   words,   should anyone   utter   a   word   of   disregard,   whatever   has   been   so   spoken, all   that   should   be   conveyed   to   me'   (8).

Upon   those   instructions   of   his,   his   disciples   set   out   in ifferent   directions.   From   all   regions   those   steeped   in scriptural   lore   also   poured   in,   as   a   result   thereof   (9).

These   disciples   returned   to   the   sage   who   was   blazing   with radiance   and  recounted  the  words  in  toto  of  those  learned   in the   scriptures   (10).
