Two   demons,   adepts   in   deception   and   delusive   acts,   ran   across in   front,   like   huge   clouds   arising   during   peak   monsoon   times blocking   the   view   of   the   skies   (11).

That   sacrificial   altar   was   affected   due   to   this   bloody rain   but   yet   it   shone   brilliantly.   Seeing   this   state   of affairs   in   the   altar,   the   descendant   of   Raghu,   Rama, grew   furious,   charged   forward   and   noticed   those   two   in the   skies   (13).

`O!   Lakshmana!   Look   at   these   wicked   and   flesh-eating demons,   given   to   evil   acts.   They   deserve   to   be   strewn away   through   the   Manava   missile   even   as   clouds   are dispersed   by     gusty   gales'   (15).

Highly   incensed,   the   descendant   of   the   Raghus   (Rama)   discharged on   to   the   chest   of   Maricha   the   arrow   known   as   Manava,   which is   extremely   potent   and   dazzling   (16).

Finding   Maricha   hit   by   the   tip   of   the   Manava   Arrow,   rendered unconscious,   dipped   in   the   waters   and   thrown   far   off,   Rama spoke   the   following   words   to   Lakshmana   (18).

`O!   Lakshmana!   Look   at   this   righteous     and   middling   arrow   Manava causing   loss   of   consciousness.   It   causes   stupor   and   takes him   away   but   does   not   separate   his   life   fom   him   (19).
