The   performer   of   the   sacrifice,   Mahabali,   thought   to   himself:   `If that   god   of   gods   has   come   to   my   sacrifice   in   disguise,   then   this sacrifice   alone   is   the   one   that   has   been  so; he   decided   then   and   there   and,   along   with   his   wife,   offered   water to   that   high-souled   Vamana.   (He   also   said)   `O!   Lord!   May you   receive   land   measuring   three   units   with   your   feet'   (36-38).
