Then,   the   assemblage   of   gods,   sages   and   gandharvas,   in   the   company   of Rudras   and   groups   of   celestial   nymphs,   sang   the   praise   of   the   destroyer   of (the  demon)  Madhu,  through  various  hymns  (33).

`May   you   comprehensively   uproot   that   Ravana,   who   is   haughty,   possessed   of cruel   power,unbridled   arrogance,   enemy   to   Indra,   causing   tears   of   sorrow (to   the   righteous),enemy   of   those   engaging   in   austerities   and   striking terror   in   the   minds   of   those   who   want   to   perform   penance   (34).

O!   Chief   among   gods!   May   you   destroy   that   one   causing   misery   all-round, endowed   with   wicked   power,   along   with   all   his   armed   forces   and   relatives and   retire   to   your   old   retreat-   the   sinless   and   unattainable  world  of heaven  of  yours-after  your  anger  has  dissipated  (35).
