That   king   (Dasaratha)   will   strike   a   friendship   with   the   king   of   Angas. The   king   of   Angas   will   beget   a   famous   son   by   name   Romapada.   And   this king   (Dasaratha)   will   be   blessed   with   a   daughter   named   Shanta,   of   great good   fortune.  That  king  Dasaratha   of   great   repute   will   submit   to   that   one (Romapada)   `O!   Soul   of   right   conduct!   I   am   issueless;  May  the  husband  of Shanta,  besought   by   you,   commence   my   sacrifice   for   the   purpose   of   a   progeny
for   me,   to   continue   the   lineage'   (3-5).

Also,   that   king   Dasaratha,   who   is   the   lord   of   his   people   and   a   knower of   right   conduct,   is   going   to   supplicate   to   that   best   among   Brahmins, Rishyasrunga,   for   the   purpose   of   conducting   the   sacrifice   so   as   to   beget a   son   (progeny)   and   for   his   attaining   heaven,   motivated   by   earning   glory. That   lord   of   men   will   also   attain   that   desire   from   that   exemplar   among Brahmins   (8-9).
