That   great   and   valiant   ape,   coming   to   know   that   he   has   been   released   from the   effect   of   the   arrow   (Brahmastra)   without   any   effort   on   his   part, by virtue   of   the   boon   granted   by   Lord
Brahma,   excusing   the   demons   who   had tied   him   up   with
ropes,   set   ablaze   the   city   of   lanka,   except   Sita,   the daughter
of   the   king   of   Mithila   and   then   returned   to   inform   the   glad
tidings   to   Rama   (75-76).
