21.Rama   told   Lakshmana   to   bring   a   piece   of   bark   for   upper   cloth   and   the   crushed   pulp   of ingudi.   He   will   then   proceed   to   offer   sacred   water   to   Dasaratha.

23,24.Sumantra,   who   was   a   hereditary   servant   with   realisation   of   the   self,   very   intelligent, gentle,   self-controlled,   satisfied   and   devoted   to   Rama,   helped   Rama   descend   to   the   sacred river   mandakini   by   holding   him   by   hand.

25,26.Rama   and   others   descending   the   river   mandakini   with   cool   waters,   lovely   flowering
forest   and   swift   flowing,   bathed   in   the   clear   waters   and   offered   sacred   water   to   their   father saying   may   this   reach   him.
