1.The   ministers,   assembling   at   dawn   of   the   fourteenth   day,   spoke   to   Bharata   as   follows.

2.The   ministers   told   Bharata   that   Dasaratha   who   was   like   a   father   to   them   died   after   sending Rama   and   Lakshmana   to   the   forest.

3.The   ministers   requested   Bharata   to   take   over   as   king   and   save   the   country.

4.The   ministers   told   Bharata   that   people   are   waiting   with   the   required   materials   to   crown   him.

5.The   minsters   told   Bharata   to   take   over   the   reins   of   the   kingdom   and   protect   them.

6.Bharata   then   paid   his   respects   to   the   materials   for   coronation   and   told   the   people   as   follows.

7.Bharata   told   them   that   knowing   well   the   practice   in   the   dynasty,   they   should   not   speak   thus.

8.Bharata   said   that   Rama   should   be   the   emperor   and   therefore   Bharata   himself   will   spend fourteen   years   in   the   forest.

9.Bharata   said   that   he   will   bring   Rama   from   the   forest   and   requested   assembly   of   a   large force.
