3.41   Control   of   the   mind   requires   ceaseless   effort   such   as   one   would   need   to   drain   the   ocean   with   the   aid   of   a   blade   of   grass.

3.42   The   mind   has   to   be   restrained   from   desire   and   sense   of   enjoyment   even   when   one   is   in   deep   sleep,    (i.e.even   when   there   is   no   scattering   of   the   mind
through   wandering   thoughts)   as   in   the   state   of   wakefulness.    This   lays   stress   on   the   need   for   unceasing   efforts,    in   whatever   state   you   might   be.

3.43   The   mind   must   be   restrained   from   all   pleasures,   for   duality   always occurs.   When   you   concentrate   on   the non-duality   behind   all   duality,    then   duality   will   disappear.

3.47   One   who   has   attained   to   the   Self-knowledge,    that   is   Brahman,   is   free   from   all   sorrow   and   is    ever   in   a   state   of   bliss,   totally   independent   of    anything   and   everything.
