3.31   The   sight   of   moving   and   non-moving   things   in   this   dualistic   world   is   a   creation   of   the   mind.When   the   mind    ceases   to   function,   we   see   duality   no   more.

3.34   One   must   carefully   study   the   behaviour   of   a   person   whose   mind   is   fixed   on   the   Self.   This   is   not   the   same   of   persons   in   deep   sleep   where   the   mind   continues   in   a   state   of   ignorance   and   is   yet   to   attain   the   ultimate   knowledge.

3.35   In   deep   sleep,   the   mind   remains   in   ignorance,   dormant   in   the   causal   state.   It   is   only   a   controlled   mind   that   is   free   from   fear,   and   merges   into   the   light   of   knowledge    which   is   Brahman.

3.36   Brahman   is   unborn,   has   no   sleep,dream,   name   or   form.   It   is   an   all-embracing  effulgent   consciousness,   free   from   all   obligation and   manifests   once   and   for   all.

3.37   The   self   is   beyond   the   reach   of   speech   and   mind   or   other   organs.   It   is ever   in   a   state   of   rest,   peace,   effulgent   ecstasy and   with   no   fear.

3.39   One   kind   of   yoga,   called   "Asparsayoga" that    prescribes   no   contact whatever   with   the   external   world,   is   difficult  to   attain   yet   though   that state   may   lead   to
freedom   from   fear,   yet   yogis   are apprehensive   of   it (fearing loss   of   the   ego   sense,   that   it   entails)

3.40   Yogis   who   are   yet   to   realize   the   Self,   can   overcome    fear,   can   be   free   from   sorrow   and   attain   everlasting   peace    (or   self   realization)   by mere   controlling   of   the   mind.
