362. Meditation   must   be   practised constantly and when  matured, the mind  is absorbed  in  Brahman, secures samadhi,  the  state of bliss and  freedom from   doubt.

Þvãp¢vÞP\¢tIryÏnt:    the spontaneous manifestation of one's real nature
Þyat¯   takes place

363. In samadhi,  all  knots, actions, internal and external are  destroyed, and the Self  manifests itself  without effort. With the destruction  of  the mind and  desires comes the  realization of the Self.

365. Only  meditation  that resolves all  doubt  [nirvikalpa-samadhi],  leads to    realising the Self.  Otherwise other  thoughts  will  distract the  mind.

366. Hence Samadhi is to be obtained by control of the senses; and once attained, it should be maintained  by seeing oneness always and everywhere, which destroys ignorance.

¢n¢rha   c   freedom from activity
¢nÏymEkaÓtS£lta   and always living in a retired place

367. The first step to yoga is control of speech; then control of the  mind. Make the mind non-receptive and then give up all desire and expectation  and remain alone.

369. Submit the word  to the  mind; submit the thought to the  intellect, then to the ego the witness, and  that  to the Soul and thus attain  Bliss.

Note:   Take   the   mantra   in   the   mind. The   mind   must think;               therefore   it   is   necessary   to   give   it   the   meaning   of   a   word   to   keep   it  busy.  The   meaning   alone   won't   do.  Bring   forth  the intellect, the determinative   faculty,   and   join   it   with   the   meaning   and   then   with   the   ego.   Word   enters   into   thought,   thought   into  meaning,   meaning   into   sure   decision,   this   sure   decision   into ego,   ego   into   witness,   and   this   state   cannot   be   explained   by  another. It   is   like   the   Polar   star.     It   can   only   be   pointed  out   by   pointing   to   the   nearest   point.
