31,32,33.Rama,   in   one   eighth   part   of   the   day,   exterminated   ten   thousand   chariots   with   the   speed   of   wind,   eighteen   thousand   powerful   elephants,   fourteen   thousand   horses   with   their   warriors   and   two   lakhs   of   foot   soldiers   of   the   ogre   army   who   were   capable   of   form   as   desired,   by   himself   alone   with   arrows   resembling   flames   of   fire.

34.Those   ogres,   night   wanderers,   who   were   still   remaining   alive   after   chariots   destroyed,   horses   killed   and   flags   broken   feeling   dejected   ran   away   to   the   city   of   Lanka.

37,38.Then   Rama,   with   mind   set   on   virtue,   told   Sugriva,   Vibhishana,   Hanuman   the   monkey,   Jambavan,   king   of   bears   and   the   foremost   of   monkeys   Mainda   and   Dwivida   that   this   power   of   excellent   missiles   exist   either   in   him   or   in   Lord   Siva,   the   three   eyed   divinity.

39.Then   the   high   souled   Rama,   who   was   eaqual   to   Indra   ruler   of   gods,   having   destroyed   the   ogre   army   with   missiles   and   weapons   and   having   conquered   fatgue   also,   was   praised   by   celestial   hosts,   who   felt   delighted.
