1.Kabandha   seeing   the   two   brothers   Rama   and   Lakshmana   standing   there
encircled   by   the   cord   of   his   arms   spoke   as   follows.

2.Kabandha   told   Rama   and   Lakshmana   that   they   had   been   sent   by   god   as
food   for   him   who   is   hungry   and   wondered   why   they   were   still   alive   with   wits
at   an   end.

5.Lakshmana   told   Rama   that   they   must   cut   off   the   long   arms   of   the   ogre

6.Lakshmana   told   Rama   that   the   gigantic   and   dreadful   ogre   whose   prowess
is   in   his   arms   having   conquered   the   people   desired   to   kill   both.

reproachable   as   the   slughter   of   animals   brought   in   the   course   of   sacrificial
performance.
