                 THRUSTS  ARMS  AND  LEGS IN RESPONSE TO  SOUNDS AND MOVING OBJECTS
  (All four limbs involved)
 MATERIALS  REQUIRED : Colourful plastic  bangles,  anklet  /  jingles in thread
 
 
ACTIVITIES
 
ACTIVITY - 1
 
  Place  child in such a manner, in the crib or mat on  your  lap, so that there is free movement of his limbs. 
Unwrap  child  out of his blanket and diaper  bundles  and  leave him free to kick his limbs. 
 While bathing child,  place him on your legs, first on his back and then on his stomach. 
  Seat  yourself  on a low stool so that your legs are  at  an  inclination to the ground. 
 Place  child  on your legs in such a manner  that  his  arms   dangle down freely. 
                 Now try the arm movements. 
                 Place child on his back, on your legs. 
                 Flex one arm at a time towards his face. 
                 While bathing him, do so, many times, each arm. 
                 Cross both arms on his chest. 
                 Place both arms along side of body. 
                 Hold both legs together at the ankle. 
                 Lift them towards stomach. 
                 Bring  child's one arm at a time to hold the big toe of  one  
                 leg for a few seconds. 
                 Do this movement whenever you bathe child. 
                 Tie  a black string with little jingles to child's waist  so  
                 that they jingle with child's movement. 
                 ACTIVITY - 2
                 Tie  a jingling bracelet to child's wrist.(or use  colourful  
                 bangles.) 
                 Lift  his  arm to his face so that he sees hands  while  the  
                 bracelet jingles. 
               Hold  child's  wrist and manipulate his hand in  a  circular  
                 movement, fingers opening out like a flower. 
                 If  child clenches his wrist, open out his fingers,  one  by  
                 one. 
                 Repeat activity.
