MSK 2 - MOTOR SKILL - 2
 
 MOVES HEAD TO SIDE WHILE ON BACK.
 
 
 MATERIALS  REQUIRED : Ball, squeaky toy
 
 
ACTIVITIES
 
ACTIVITY - 1
Place child on his back in a crib.
Tie a toy or a bell on the cross bar of the crib.
Move the toy from one side to the other, slowly.
 Help child slowly move head following the object.
 ACTIVITY - 2
Stand behind child and squeak a toy or ring a bell.
Gradually bring the toy to child's view.
Gently guide child's head with one hand, while operating the toy with the other to follow the sound from the toy. 
 
ACTIVITY - 3
Squat on a low stool, arch your legs.
Place child on back, on your legs, hands dangling down, legs on yours.
Gently  raise child's hands above his head.
 Bend his legs so that his knees touch the stomach. 
Turn child on his stomach on your legs. 
With  his  legs on yours, place your hands on  his  back  or tickle him or stroke along his spine. 
The child may raise his head. 
If he does not, tickle him again and guide him raise head.
 
ACTIVITY - 4
                 Note:  In  bathing  child,  the main consideration  should  be  a  comfortable,    secure posture for him; that he   has  eye  contact with mother as much as possible.
                 Bathe child, keeping him on your legs, first on his stomach. 
                 Place your palm on his back, pour water over your palm
                 Keep talking to child. 
                 Help child lift head as you pour each mug of water. 
                 Gently pat child's back. 
                 Now, turn his position, place him on his back on your legs. 
                 Pour water over your palm placed on his stomach. 
 Guide  child raise head as you pour water. Bend child's  leg  gently moving it towards the stomach. 
                 Straighten leg, repeat with other leg. 
                 As you bend the limbs keep his head in an inclined  position  on  your legs.(Keep your legs inclined, while you sit  on  a low stool). 
                Move  his head from side to side. Raise his arms  above  the head. 
                 Hold both his arms cupped, with your hand. 
                 With  your other hand gently raise child's chin for  him  to look up towards his arms.
