1   to   5.Ravana,   a   little   agitated   at   heart   and   enraged   to   see   the   monkey
leaders   pointed   out   by   Suka,   seeing   Vibhishana   standing   near   Rama,
Lakshmana   of   great   valour   and   the   right   hand   of   Rama,   also   Sugriva   with
terrible   prowess   and   king   of   all   the   monkeys,   Gaja,   Gavaksha,   Gavaya,
Dwivida,   Mainda,   Indra's   son,   the   mighty   Angada,   the   valiant   Hanuman,
the   difficult   to   conquer   Jambavam,   Sushena,   Kumuda,   Nila   and   Nala,   the
foremost   of   monkeys   rebuked   Sarana   and   Suka   after   their   submission.

Suka   and   Sarana   who   stood   with   bowed   heads.

unpalatable   words   by   depedent   minister   to   the   king   who   has   the   power   to
punish   or   reward.

8.Ravana   asked   Suka   and   Sarana   how   can   it   be   fitting   for   them   to   speak   out
of   season   in   praise   of   enemies   who   are   antoganistic   and   are   advancing   to   wage   war?

9.Ravana   told   Suka   and   Sarana   that   preceptors,   parents   and   elders   have
been   waited   upon   by   them   in   vain   since   they   have   not   imbibed   the   essence
of   political   wisdon   in   that   they   should   not   act   in   a   way   to   hurt   their   master.
