1.Rama   accepted   the   words   of   Sugriva   which   were   full   of   reason   and  
expounded   the   real   truth   and   thereafter   spoke   to   Hanuman   as   follows.

2.Rama   told   Hanuman   that   he   is   capable   of   crossing   the   sea   either

3,4.Rama   asked   Hanuman   to   tell   him   how   many   fortresses   in   Lanka  
which   makes   it   difficult   to   enter?   He   also   wanted   to   know   the   strength  
of   the   army,   the   fortifications   of   the   entrances,   the   method   of   guarding  
Lanka   and   about   the   mansions   of   the   ogres.

5.Rama   told   Hanuman   that   he   had   conveniently   and   actually   seen   all  
things   in   Lanka   and   asked   him   to   relate   all   according   to   facts   because

7,8.Hanuman   told   Rama   to   listen   to   his   words   how   the   defence   of  
Lanka   by   the   technique   of   fortifications,   how   it   is   guarded   by   ogres  
who   are   devoted   to   Ravana,   the   strength   of   the   vehicles   and   describe  
the   extreme   prosperity   of   Lanka   due   to   the   glory   of   Ravana   and   also  
the   dreadfulness   of   the   sea.

10.Hanuman   told   Rama   that   the   extensive   city   of   Lanka   is   rapturous  
and   properous,   crowded   with   elephants   in   rut,   packed   with   chariots,  
inhabited   by   hordes   of   ogres,   filled   with   horses   and   is   difficult   of   access  
by   others.
