PRESENTATION – PART 4 : SUMMING UP

I WOULD LIKE TO CONCLUDE  WITH THREE PROPOSALS :

1. The United Nations initiatives of Education For All and Health For All   must be consciously expanded to guarantee literacy and education to every blind child of the world, with solutions like the UBK and UEK

This would certainly make for practical, rational and  holistic welfare strategies that can be accomplished at very little extra cost.

2. We would  wish to encourage free world-wide replication and adaptation of the Natesan Refreshable Braille Display.

This would make it increasingly affordable  and hopefully, ultimately  reach the hands of every  blind child in the world. to facilitate this objective,  we are placing  the  complete  technical specifications and designs of the nrbd, together with an enabling Open General License, called the Natesan-GPL, for free download at our websites

www.vidyavrikshah.org and www.worthtrust.org.in

3. We would  also offer  to help establish production facilities for all our solutions, wherever funding is provided.

For example, we have  established  a Braille Slate production unit in   Bangladesh,  where funding support has been  provided by the Christoffel Blinden Mission  of Germany
